Endangered Species – Canvas Print Triptych Set

$500.00

Original oil painting triptych sold.  The price shown is for a triptych print set on canvas (three separate prints). –  The first whooping crane hatchling born in Louisiana since 1938 is more than a milestone; it is a breath restored to a story that nearly ended. In this triptych, the cranes move through light and marshland like living prayers, each panel holding a chapter of a species’ long journey back from silence. The tiny hatchling—once front‑page news, once unthinkable—becomes the heart of the piece, a symbol of resilience so delicate it feels almost holy. This painting doesn’t just honor the moment; it preserves the hope that rose from the marsh after seventy-eight years, reminding us that even the rarest lives can return when land, patience, and love make room for them.

Description

Where the Marsh Remembers – In this triptych, the marsh becomes a cradle for a story nearly lost to time. The whooping cranes, the most critically endangered bird on the planet, stand like living testaments to endurance, their white wings bright against the wetlands that once fell silent without them. And at the heart of it all, the hatchling—small, vulnerable, impossibly brave—embodies the return of a hope that waited eighty‑three years to rise again. This painting holds that moment gently, as if aware of its sacredness, reminding us that sometimes the rarest miracles arrive quietly, carried on the wings of those who refuse to disappear.

This triptych is of three paintings sold as a set, each is 20″ by 10″.  It is a painting of the first successful whooping crane hatchling in Louisiana since 1938.

Elk in forest oil painting

Arts & Crafts
$1,200.00
Where the Mountains Hide Their Faces - There is a solemn beauty in the way the wilderness holds its secrets. The elk moves with a kind of ancient patience, stepping through the cold as though it understands the hidden rhythms of the land. The pond, dark and half‑frozen, reflects only hints of the world above it, mirroring the mystery of the mountains themselves. Oil painting turtle sea wildlife art

Arts & Crafts
$1,200.00
Where Hope is Buried - jury selected piece, recognized for its evocative storytelling and conservation-centered theme. A mother sea turtle returns to the water in the fading gold of day, her silhouette softened by the last warmth of the sun. Behind her, beneath the sand she has shaped with ancient care, rests a hidden cradle of tomorrow. She leaves no marker, no sign—only trust in the rhythm that has guided her kind for millions of years. In her slow retreat, there is both exhaustion and triumph. Every step toward the waves is a testament to endurance, to instinct older than memory, to a lineage fighting to survive in a world that grows harsher each season. All sea turtles are endangered, yet she moves with the quiet certainty of one who still believes in the possibility of return—of hatchlings rising from the sand, of small lives finding the ocean’s embrace. Specs: 24" by 18", 1.5" deep, gallery wrap style, painted sides. Signed Canvas or Paper Prints Available, Contact Artist for more information. mary@maryspaintings.com

Southeastern Bluebird – Original oil in floating frame

Arts & Crafts
$800.00
In Where the Wildflowers Listen, dawn unfolds like a whispered promise across the marsh, touching each petal and feather with its first tender glow. The bluebird perched on the weathered post seems to pause in perfect stillness, as if listening to the soft rustle of blooms waking in the early light. Water gathers the sky’s pale gold, hills rest in muted calm, and the whole landscape feels suspended in a moment where nature speaks only in hushes and the heart instinctively understands. It is 20 x 10, and will come wrapped in a matching floating frame. Signed Canvas or Paper Prints Available, Contact Artist for more information. mary@maryspaintings.com

Stillness Under the Driftwood – Original oil, framed

Arts & Crafts
$900.00
Stillness Under the Driftwood - Tucked beneath the shelter of a fallen log, a young raccoon pauses in the quiet rhythm of the forest. Smooth river stones, worn by time and water, gather around its hiding place like a natural mosaic of soft grays, rose‑tinted browns, and cool earth tones. Light filters gently across the scene, catching the subtle textures of fur, wood, and stone, inviting the viewer into a moment of stillness at the water’s edge. This painting celebrates the intimate, often unseen world of Louisiana’s woodland wildlife—where curiosity, caution, and beauty meet in a single breath. It is 18 x 24, 1  depth, framed in a matching copper colored frame. Signed Canvas or Paper Prints Available, Contact Artist for more information. mary@maryspaintings.com
